1. Overview

"Ads Powered by IVONNE" connects eligible businesses in Ottawa with local consumers through ad placements on IVONNE’s website and a network of participating vendors. The program supports small businesses by fostering a hyper-local advertising ecosystem.

Disclaimer: Participation in the "Ads Powered by IVONNE" program, or the inclusion of any ad or advertiser in the IVONNE Ad Network, does not constitute an endorsement by IVONNE or any other participating vendor. IVONNE and its network members do not endorse the brands, products, or services advertised within the program.

2. Eligibility

• Location Requirement: The product, service, or website advertised must be directly related to a business registered in Ottawa, Ontario, with a non-private address publicly visible in its WHOIS registration details.
• Ownership Requirement: The business must be majority-owned by a corporation or entity with its principal office registered in Ottawa, Ontario.
• Compliance with Standards: The ad content must adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and IVONNE’s content guidelines, ensuring relevance and alignment with the program's hyper-local focus.
• Reciprocal Arrangements (if applicable): Businesses participating in reciprocal ad placements must agree to provide ad space of equal quality and visibility within their platforms. Reciprocal ad placements must adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Ad Placement Limits: A maximum of three ad placements per page is allowed.
  • Examples of Ad Sizes:
  • 970 x 90: "Top of Page Banner" for Desktop (with similarly proportionate sizes for mobile).
  • 1950 x 500: "Lower Third Banner" for Desktop (with similarly proportionate sizes for mobile).
  • 2464 x 66: "Below Hero" for Desktop.
  • 1080 x 1080 or appropriately sized images for product pages.

3. Terms of Participation

By participating in "Ads Powered by IVONNE," businesses agree to:

• Adhere to IVONNE's content guidelines, which prohibit misleading, offensive, or unlawful content.
• Grant IVONNE the discretion to approve, modify, or reject ads to align with the program's objectives.

4. Additional Program Features

• Hyper-Local Focus: Designed to help small businesses connect with their local Ottawa audience.
• Evolving Service: The program is continuously refined to meet the needs of advertisers and viewers.
• "As-Is" Offering: Participation in the program is provided on an "as-is" basis. IVONNE makes no guarantees regarding ad performance, impressions, results, or the uptime and reliability of the ad network. While we strive to maintain uninterrupted service, the ad network may experience downtime, technical issues, or interruptions without prior notice. Advertisers acknowledge and accept these risks as a condition of their participation in the program.

5. Disclaimer

• IVONNE does not accept responsibility for the content, accuracy, or legality of ads within its network.
• All products and services promoted in the ads are sold directly by the advertiser. IVONNE does not facilitate transactions, provide warranties, or make any representations, assurances, or guarantees about the quality, safety, legality, or efficacy of the advertised products or services.
• Advertisers bear sole responsibility for ensuring their products or services comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

6. Regulated Products and Services

By participating in the "Ads Powered by IVONNE" program, advertisers confirm and ensure that:

• The content of their ad complies fully with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• There is no question or ambiguity regarding the compliance of the ad or the product or service being promoted.
• They agree to indemnify and hold IVONNE harmless against any complaints, investigations, actions, or legal proceedings arising from the ad or its content, including but not limited to issues related to regulatory compliance.

7. Prohibited Industries

To maintain the integrity of the "Ads Powered by IVONNE" program and ensure alignment with our community standards, the following industries and content are prohibited from advertising through the program:

• Illegal products or services.
• Adult content, including pornography or sexually explicit material.
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories.
• Recreational drugs, cannabis, and any drug-related paraphernalia.
• Alcohol or tobacco products.
• Pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick schemes, or other deceptive financial services.
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) programs or any form of network marketing.
• Housing or real estate ads, including property rentals, sales, or listings are limited to the IVONNE client portal only.
• Employment ads or job postings of any kind.
• Content promoting violence, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Political or religious ads that are divisive or promote specific agendas.
• Unregulated health products or services, including miracle cures or unverified medical claims.
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights.

IVONNE reserves the right to modify this list and reject any ads that do not align with our guidelines, even if the industry is not explicitly listed above.

8. Indemnity and Waivers

• Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless IVONNE and all associated entities, including network vendors, against any claims, damages, or losses arising from their participation in the program.
• Waivers Include: Acceptance of full responsibility for ad content and compliance with applicable laws, and acknowledgment that IVONNE and network vendors are not liable for technical issues, errors, or omissions in ad placements.

9. Fees and Reciprocal Arrangements

• Fees may apply for ad placements unless a reciprocal arrangement is in place.
• Reciprocal agreements must be documented in writing, detailing terms for ad placement and visibility.

10. Cancellation and Termination

IVONNE reserves the right to terminate any ads, campaigns, or the "Ads Powered by IVONNE" program at any time, without any obligation or responsibility to advertisers.
