Tipping Policy

Last Updated: February 1, 2025

Learn about our transparent tipping policy at IVONNE, including why we offer tipping, how tips are distributed, and the choice to tip the owner.

Introduction

At IVONNE, we strive to provide the highest quality cosmetic treatments and a welcoming environment for our clients. As part of our commitment to transparency and personalized service, we have developed a clear tipping policy to address questions and offer guidance on how tips are handled. While tipping is completely optional, this policy outlines why we provide a tipping option and how it benefits both our valued clients and our team members.

It is also important to note that all of our employees are regular T4 salaried team members with competitive wages, including health spending accounts, and access to clinical treatments and products at cost or in accordance with their perks package. Additionally, employees have access to more than three weeks of paid time off annually—including emergency or illness leave—that goes beyond statutory requirements. IVONNE does not send its employees home early, or cut shifts in the absence of treatment appointments.

Tipping Policy

Below is our detailed tipping policy and the rationale behind each aspect.

1. Why We Offer Tipping

Client Choice: We understand that many clients value the option to tip as a way of recognizing exceptional service. By enabling tipping on our point-of-sale (POS) systems, we provide clients with this flexibility.

No Obligation: Tipping is never required or expected. We appreciate all our clients and the trust they place in our clinic, whether or not they choose to leave a tip.

2. Encouraging Cash Tips

Simplified Accounting: While tips can be added directly through our POS system, we encourage cash tips when possible. Cash tips reduce administrative tasks and merchant processing fees for the business.

Direct Gratitude: Handing a cash tip to your service provider is a straightforward, personal way to express appreciation.

3. Distribution of Tips

Tips to Employees: All tips earned by employees are disbursed in full on a monthly basis. Although our payment processor may charge fees, the total tip amount received through the POS goes directly to the employees in its entirety.

Tips to the Owner: When the clinic owner performs a treatment, any tip received may be treated as part of the owner’s compensation, or it may remain in the business for reinvestment, depending on the business’s needs at the time.

4. Tipping the Business Owner

Client Discretion: We recognize there is a trend where some clients prefer not to tip business owners. However, many clients still choose to tip the owner as a way to support their hard work, ongoing investment in the clinic, or simply as a gesture of appreciation.

Supporting the Clinic: Any tip to the owner can either contribute directly to their personal income or support the clinic’s operations and future growth.

5. Our Commitment

No Pressure: We will never pressure or expect clients to tip. You should only tip if you feel moved to do so.

Transparency: We are committed to transparent and fair practices in the collection and distribution of tips.

Thank you for choosing IVONNE. We value every visit and look forward to providing you with exceptional care—tips or not!
