How donation, prize, and sponsorship requests are reviewed, why treatments and gift cards are not offered as prizes, and how community commitments are decided each year.
IVONNE, Inc. ("IVONNE") receives regular requests from charities, schools, community organizations, and event organizers for donations, raffle prizes, auction items, and sponsorship. All requests are reviewed against this policy.
IVONNE is unable to participate in many of these opportunities. The sections below set out why.
IVONNE does not contribute treatments, certificates, vouchers, credits, gift cards, or products to raffles, draws, auctions, prize tables, or event bags. The reasons are clinical and contractual.
Every treatment begins with a consultation covering medical history, current medications, contraindications, skin type, and achievable outcomes. It is where informed consent is given, and it determines whether a treatment is appropriate for someone at all. Not everyone who wants a particular treatment is a candidate for it.
This is not only our own standard. The suppliers whose treatments and products we are authorized to provide require a consultation with the client beforehand, and we are bound by those terms as a condition of carrying their lines.
A prize goes to whoever holds the winning ticket, and that person cannot be assessed beforehand. If they are not a candidate, they hold something that cannot be honoured as they understood it. A gift card or credit raises the same issue, directing its recipient toward treatment on a third party's suggestion rather than through consultation.
This applies to requests from outside organizations. Most clinical practices take the same position.
See also: Contraindications Policy, Informed Consent Policy.
Community involvement, and the way that we are able to participate, is considered at the beginning of each calendar year. Where a request arrives afterwards, we are generally unable to take it up, and that is a matter of timing rather than merit.
Items are sometimes gifted at our own client events. These are not donations to a third party: a provider attends, the recipient is an existing client, and a consultation takes place before anything is given. Where an item is not suitable for the person receiving it, it is not given.
Those conditions cannot be met at a public event. An item gifted at a client event is not an indication that the same item is available on request.
IVONNE does not keep a waiting list, invite applications, or accept proposals for future years. Organizations seeking corporate support will find open granting and sponsorship programs at many businesses in the region.
Staff cannot accept, consider, or refer these requests. A request raised in person, by phone, through social media, or with a staff member directly will not reach a decision.
We ask that our team not be approached about fundraising outside of work, and that clients not be approached while they are with us.
IVONNE does not authorize anyone to solicit contributions, sponsorships, advertising, or prizes on its behalf, and does not take part in charity directories, prize catalogues, or sponsorship listings compiled by third parties.
The IVONNE® name, logo, and trade-marks may not be used in connection with any fundraising activity, event, or publication without our written consent. Where our name appears without it, we ask to be told.
IVONNE may update this policy at any time. Nothing in it creates an entitlement to support.
